I'm having DELL INSPIRON N4010 laptop with core i5 processor. can i install linux in my laptop. now its having windows 7 home premium 64bit OS. is any problem after installing Linux? which version of linux OS is suitable for my laptop? where to download free linux OS? Plz help me...
Even I have Dell N4010 with i3, i had tried latest Ubuntu and Fedora 15, these don't work, they have issues with networking.

Try live cd's for general hardware compatibility tests.
Linux can use a nic in one of three ways. One is native support. You simply boot and it works. Then there is add on driver. You find out your nic and then get a driver and install it. Lastly is ndiswrapper to use a windows driver on linux.
I am also n4010 user. Now a day at the time I posted this reply, Installed Ubuntu 11.10, Xubuntu 12.04, Linux Mint 14 and Slackware 14.0 and all are run smoothly on my laptop.
