Acer Aspireone ao751h

how do i find out if i have the Poulsbo chipset? ubuntu web site says

"On any netbook, run "lspci" and avoid any netbook with "(SCH Poulsbo)" in the printout. 10/6/2009 "

ok how do i do this ? i fear i have this set up and im stuck with vista basic;>(
when it said run i typed it into a command prompt window and it said, "lspci is not recognized as a internalor external command operable program or batch file."

just trying to get to a command prompt took some digging to find on this thing, any ideas?
My whole look into linux came from dealing with vista basic on this netbook and ive really liked ubuntu so far. I m hoping i can still slip by and install ubuntu remix. Untill i make sure my fingers and couple toes are crossed

a0751h is not a good match with Linux right now.

http://thatlinuxbox.com/blog/article...91019102548111

Situation is a bit worse than is indicated by the wiki page, I get some lockups, suspend/resume problems even using suggested changes:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOne/AO751h

For now I am running Windows XP on my a0751h (instead of the pre-installed Vista).

Give it a while. I am sure there are folks out there working hard to get the system working and stable. I was fortunate to get a lenovo s10e though a strange string of circumstances and everything works on that system cept for the wireless which requires the can be buggy drivers from brodcom.

I did the following:

1. purchased external USB DVD burner
2. used the included Acer util to burn DVD recovery disks
3. downloaded Windows XP drivers from Acer web site and burned to CD (or flash drive)
4. formated the hard drive to wipe Vista, installed Windows XP from my own media.

I have heard that Windows 7 might also be a reasonable choice on this hardware, and I believe there is actually a supported path from Vista --> Windows 7.

But actually before doing this I installed Ubuntu into a second partition and the Ubuntu installer easily re-sized the Windows Vista partition to make room for Linux in a dual-boot scenario.
