Question What happens when max PID is reached?

Just wondering what happens when the max PID /proc/sys/kernel/pid_max is reached..?

Will the PID of the next process be set to something above 1 ? Will the system hang up?

It just rolls over and starts at the lowest available number. No hang, no problem.
