Hi
Can someone tell me where should I start if I want to understand the whole kernel code? Like what would be the starting point or various starting points and how to move forward to complete a simple scenario.
Maybe it would be easier if you started by listing your level of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. You know, programming skills and all that.

Ya Sure
I have good knowledge of System Programming and 2yrs of experience working with Embedded C on Linux.
I have very little understanding of all this and I find myself lost in the majority of things going on here. I do not even know how to program something so I can download things such as MS Office. The real problem is I don't know where to start. One thing I have been trying to do is install flash so that I can view some websites, but every one I try to install never works. I have had to resort to using my daughter's netbook as it has Win 7 on it. Can anyone point the way? I am a computer hardware person, not much in the software arena though. Maybe this Linux stuff is too complicated for me. My brain is smart for many things, but maybe this isn't one of them.
