Need to enable Broadcom NetXtreme II and Mellanox network drivers for automatic installation using CentOS 5.8 on HP blade server.
I have enabled the network drivers in kernel config and built a new vmlinuz-2.6.18-308.24 kernel and copied it in as /tftpboot/images/centos/vmlinuz
and using the default initrd.img from CentOS 5.8.
The pxeboot started fine until after /sbin/loader it then is stuck on the following screen:
Welcome to CentOS
Error downloading kickstart file
Unable to download the kickstart file. Please modify the
kickstart parameter below or press Cancel to proceed as an
interactive installation.
http://192.168.1.201/install/ks/lab-pxe-ks.cfg
It has same Error when I tried ftp or nfs as installation protocol.
Here is the pxelinux.cfg file:
default menu.c32
prompt 0
timeout 100
MENU TITLE My PXE Menu
LABEL CentoS 5.8 x64
MENU LABEL CentOS 5.8 x64
KERNEL images/centos/vmlinuz
append ks=http://192.168.1.201/install/ks/lab-pxe-ks.cfg initrd=images/centos/initrd.img ramdisk_size=65536 ksdevice=eth0 ip=dhcp noipv6
Any help is appreciated.
