Manually compiled Linux kernel won't boot and can't find any logs (Virtual Machine VMWare Fusion 13, M2 Mac)

Hey there!
I've been playing around with the Linux Kernel. I managed to compile and install version 6.6, however, when booting it only shows this message:
"Application failed r=3
failed to boot both default and fallback entries"

Does anyone know if there is any way to show more logs when trying to boot?
I'm working in an Ubuntu Server 22.04 Virtual Machine in VMWare Fusion 13, on a M2 Mac (I'm thinking the error might have something to do with the architecture, but can't find the error without logs )

Thanks!

failed to boot both default and fallback entries
this is not a kernel error, but it could not find bootable entry at all.

I see, thanks.
What I find weird is that I can see both the initrd and kernel image in the boot folder.
I tried compiling version 5.15.134, and it works. I'm guessing there might be an error generating the image? And maybe that's why it is not detecting it as a bootable entry?

Anyway, thanks for the clarification.
