LKM vlan-aware bridge

I have searched high and low but I am unable to find how to set interface vids on a vlan-aware aware bridge in a kernel module. I can find information on mangling a packet to add the vlan header, but what I am looking for is the "bridge vlan" command equivalent in user space. Thanks, Dave
