Linux OS GUI is inaccessible for AMD based servers when changes are made in the grub file.

My Linux OS has the iommu in turned ON state by default in the kernel. But, When I am adding the line "iommu=pt amd_iommu=on pci=assign-busses" in GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX inside the vi /etc/default/grub file it is making my Linux OS GUI inaccessible. Can Someone please explain me the reason for this. Thanks in advance.
