klogd and syslog


Hi all
is it necessary to run syslog to get teh messages from klogd?
Actually I dont know much about these deamons, so someone could please tell me about these deamons?
I mean what and how these deamons do, and how exactly message gets printed using printk ();

Generally speaking, you'll find messages in files in /var/log/.

There's lots of information on syslog and klog out on the web. Google is your friend.
