Kernel Panic after recompile the kernel??????
Hi all
I have problem to recompile the kernel. i tried to recompile the kernel 2.6.20 (FC7) to 2.6.16
I followed the document how to recompile the kernel.
#make xconfig
#make all
#make modules_install
#make install
No error just some warning after #Make all
after restart and select "Fedora 2.6.16" this msg come out:
Uncompressing Linux... ok, booting the kernel.

Volume group "Vol Group00" not found
mount : could not find filesystem '/dev/root'

setuproot : error mounting /sys: no such file or directory
switchroot : mount failed: no such file or directory
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
