How to test kernel, prove its robust

Hey Kernel Hackers,

How to test linux kernel source code?

How to test that it is much more robust than before, if you make changes to its source code?

Other than modifying USB drivers and flash drivers only?

What are your opinions?

Warm regards,

Kennith

Search for "Linux (kernel) (regression) test (framework)" or OSDL's STP (http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...oup_id=35146)?

Do you think some emulators like Trace32, produced by Lauterbach can help test kernel modification?

But it is not stable, when I use it for my debugging?

I'm sorry, I haven't got a bastard clue. Everything with "32" affixed looks like Windows stuff to me :-]
