DIMM info from SMBIOS

Hi,

I have a application that outputs system config details. running in SuSE linux. ROMBIOS address is mapped for reading the SMBIOS details. from that it collects DIMM details. The DIMM listed in not proper order. ex. 4 DIMMS listed in the order DIMM1, DIMM0, DIMM3 and DIMM2. do we have any alternate way to find the proper order, by reading the address.
Also i tried the dmidecode tool. The output of this is similar to waht i am getting from the application.
Do i need to install or change something in the system.

Thanks in Advance,
-Thiru-
