CONFIG_PM and CONFIG_PM_SLEEP, which should be used?

Hi!
As background of my question, I will implement suspend/resume function for one of my device. I am new to this area, so I refered some other drivers.
But I am confused with the two macros:
CONFIG_PM and CONFIG_PM_SLEEP.

some drivers used the first while others use the latter, can someone explain me what's the difference? or where can I find any document?

thanks.

Documentation for CONFIG options is in the Kconfig file in the source directory.

Hi smallpond!
thanks your answer!
Actually I used an old version of linux kernel, which doesn't explain too much about the two configs.
your answer hints me maybe I can check latest kernels.
thanks.
