Bug: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000020

Hi everybody!
Well the problem is the following. The other day I was trying to install compat-wireless, so I had to install the linux-headers package. After installing that package I made sure that the /lib/firmware/build exist and then I started compiling compat-wireless, how ever I was unable to install it.
Since I did that I'm unable to boot, when linux is loading it stop working showing me this:

Code:
Starting Hardware abstraction layer: hald[ 19.168205] Bug: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000020

[ 19.170502] PGD: 0
[ 19.171632] Oops: 0002 [#1] SMP
But sometimes it doesn't happen that, and it loads the graphic enviorment but it crashes after a few seconds. Some other times I get the following error:

I'd really apreciate some help.
I think this is caused by compat-wireless but I don't know how to fix it.
I can just boot in rescue mode.
I use Debian Squeeze and my kernel version is: 2.6.32-5-amd64

Thank you for your help.

rtl8192 is Realtek wifi. The driver should be r8192se_pci for on-board, or r8192s_usb for a USB device. What is compat_wireless and why do you need to compile it?

Yeah I know that rtl8192 is Realtek wifi, however I need compat-wireless in order to use an usb network adapter that has a chipset RT2870/RT3070, it should work with the driver rt2800usb. Compat-wireless is a Linux project that allows you to download many drivers, in case you donīt have any other option. You can check it out here http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Download/stable/
The instructions to install it come right there.
Hope you can help me out.
Thanks

looks like compat-wireless-2.6.32.16.tar.bz2 is the oldest version in their archive, last updated June 2010. If you need something newer and more stable you might need to run a newer kernel.

Yeah it's the oldest stable version indeed, I wouldn't like to install a newer kernel because, in debians case, the one I have is the latest stable version right? And I'm kind of new using Linux so I think it's better if I use a stable version.
The problem I have right now is that I'm not able to boot ad I've now idea of how to fix it
