2 wierd compiled kernel problems
Hello , i have successfully compiled kernels several times but always experience these 2 problems
1) when i boot my system , it doesnot show any information that noramlly system shows , its like a blank screen no info about loading services mounting filesystems etc.The GUI mode its perfect but i cant switch to console mode as there i dont see any cursor or blank screen but wierd lines of different colours blended in each other (I have nvidia- 5600 fx graphic card) i have tried to compile kernel with and without FRAME BUFFER DEVICE SUPPORT
2) i have vt8233 (AC'97 built in sound card ) but when i compile kernel with built in alsa support for its driver that it uses , i dont get any sound , moreover i dont get to run "aumix"
when i compile it as module , it runs perfectly .... !

motherboard :-P4VM800M7 , 2.66 intel with 64 bit support , 1mb cache
256 mb ram
