Just comment out the cdrom entry in your sources.list

The real problem is caused by nouveau that unfortunatly is buggy with all nv10 cards and makes them unusable with free drivers, and as already said proprietary drivers are working only up to xorg 1.12:

Maybe write your experience too in the bugzilla page and they'll fix the problem! After all in the main page they state that nv10 is working, buf in fact it's not!

Problem seems solved with the latest nouveau!

Using 14.04 or so it's possible to install new drivers with oibaf ppa.
