This one is probably going to be a headache, most likely the modem is nothing more then an alcatel dsl modem with a different company's sticker on it... short of ripping it open and seeing who's name is on the chipset (and the model number), poking around to find out who's gear wisecom is using online is the best bet. Also, you could easily find yourself with an unsupported USB modem when this is all over anyway...
