Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Unhappy Winfast 2000XP Deluxe problem with Feisty

#Hi all, bit of a linux newbie so chill out with the abuse.

I recently stuck the above mentioned tv card into my machine and got it working with XP no probs, but I never want to use windows unless I have to. So I've started trying to configure the card with Ubuntu Feisty and I am having some problems.

The hardware IS being detected in my Hardware Manager, but when I run TVTime I get the "no signal" stuff and "Cannot find capture device" "No such file or device" etc...

So to be honest I don't have a clue how to get it playing in TVTime!

Here's the dmesg (NB there is another older tv card sitting in there too)
