Will any of these wireless USB adapters work with Linux?

No matter what the distro, are these supported by the Linux in general?

It appears that you're considering a wireless gadget purchase. Have you checked out the HCL (Hardware Compatibility List) via the link near the top right? ---->

That and Google are prolly your best bet, and will save folks from having to go to all those links and then check the HCL for you.

Yea but most of these are Rosewill and I've never heard of them before, but they're getting good reviews on the site. But there's no mention of it in the hardware supported pages. How do I find out what the chipsets are?

Hmm.... Tried Linuxwireless.org (or .net maybe) ?

There *are* some sites dedicated to wireless devices and Linux, but I don't recall the exact URLs. You'll hafta search a bit. Google is your best friend in this area.
Also, Newegg tends to have a pretty good customer-reviews section. Maybe there have been some Linux users who have posted their success/failure stories on newegg?

Other than using Google, or getting some feedback from a user who happens to have the same device, it's hard to tell what is in them for a chipset.

The name 'Rosewill' rings a bell for me though.. I cannot recall where/why I heard of it, but if it occurs to me I will post an update.

UPDATE - for the heck of it, I Googled "Linux Rosewill Wireless" and got no shortage of results, some of which looked POSITIVE. Check it out
