Why did the pctel module load and the ptserial did not?

Previously I had my winmodem working fine under RH9 with the pctel-0.9.7-9 drivers installed. As a newbie i did some things (to ashamed to mention) and therefore had to reinstall. I believe I followed all procedures for installing the modem drivers but only the pctel module installed. I am getting unresolved errors on attempt to load ptserial module. ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Error message: Hint: You are trying to load a module without a GPL compatible license and it has unresolved symbols. The module may be trying to access GPLONLY symbols but the problem is more likely to be a coding or user error. Contact the module supplier for assistance, only they
can help you.

You have to realize that you are posting in the Website Questions & Suggestions forum, ehich is to discuss this website and not linux problems.

Your questions would find better answers in the Linux-General or the Hardware forum. This thread has now been reported and will be moved to some appropriate forum board, so no need to start another thread on this in another forum.

Regards.
