Hi All,

I have an Acer extensa5510 laptop. Athough it has an intel ich7 high definition soundcard, which -- as far as I know -- can produce multiple channels using the line-in and mic-in connectors as outputs. On my laptop I cannot configure this device to use these outputs.

So, I decided to buy an external soundcard, but I don't know which usb sound devices are supported under linux.

If anyone here uses such a device, please let me know which model it is.
If anyone know about the Terratec Aureon 5.1 USB soundcard being used succesfully under linux, please let me know.

One more thing:

It is said that this Terratec Aureon 5.1 USB soundcard meets the requirements of the USB Audio Class specification version 1.0.
Is that mean that this device can be used/configured via usbsound?
