Webcam webstream

I am running VidaLinux, based off of Gentoo, and I am wondering if anyone knows of a program that can stream video from a webcam onto the internet. I am pretty sure I got my webcam working because the light is turned on, which at least in windows only happens when it is being accessed, but I would like to run a videostream to my webpage.

If that is not possible, a program that takes images and upload thems automatically would be nice alternative.

Thanks for reading.

Well, i know you can take the output of /dev/video0 (if that's where your webcam is located) and pipe it into Icecast. Use the Theora video codec and set up a server. It may seem like a bit of work (which it kind of is) but in the end, you can use that for your purpose.
