watch tv in opensuse 12.1 64bit


hello,

i have a hauppauge 1250 tv tuner card yast sees it but having trouble getting mythtv to install is there another mythtv alternative that will work for suse. tried using kaffeine but cant get to to search for channels it is grayed out. also would like to know if the remote will work with the application

I've use Kaffeine with good results, along with other Hauppauge hardware. Check this thread:

..where I made some notes that may help you. Check the dmesg output to see if you're getting the "waiting for firmware upload" message, since that was what did it for me.
