Using a PCMCIA device on a desktop

This isnt really a "linux" question, I just want to know if it is possible? I have a xircom pcmcia modem that I used to use in my laptop, but my laptop recently crapped out on me, and I want to know if it is at all possible to use that pcmcia modem in my desktop, because it is the only modem that I have found so far that works with any linux distro. Let me know what you think/know.

Uh.. There's like 100 modems that work with linux.

I don't know how you'd get the pcmcia modem to work with a desktop. Maybe some kind of adapter???
