Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

USB access for a Samsung T404G

Would like to be able to access it's storage via USB, in Linux Mint 13 32 bit it doesn't mount directly

LSUSB gives this line:
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 04e8:663e Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd D900e Phone

I am unfamiliar with this device but a quick google indicated that you need to configure the phone for USB mode. Do you have a SD card installed?

Yeah, I have tried setting the phone both to USB Mass Storage mode and in Modem mode, still doesn't pop up as storage.
