Upgrading to Debian 10.7 and NVIDIA Driver 455.45 Breaks HDMI output

I own a Lenovo IdeaPad L340 Gaming laptop and, thanks to Lenovo, the HDMI port is hardwired to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q. So I had to follow the instructions here to get a second monitor to work via HDMI. When I followed the foregoing instructions under Debian 10.6 with version 5.8 of the Linux Kernel and Version 450 of the NVIDIA drivers it worked flawlessly.

However, I recently upgraded to Debian 10.7, Kernel version 5.10.5, and driver version 455.45.01 and now there is not output via HDMI.

Any advice and suggestions will be highly welcome.

Assuming you are using ALSA, what outputs are listed in
Code:
aplay -l
Again, assuming your kernel sound is built as modules, is HDMI sound module loaded?

Downgrade the kernel package to the one that works and put a hold on it to prevent the problem in the future due to an upgrade of it, it is an end of life OS in a little bit anyway so you will not be sacrificing a lot in terms of upgrade possibilities. Oh you had to go out of your way and use the backports to get anything over a 5.4 kernel with Buster as I had to, to get the then 5.6 kernel I think it was so the zfs would install properly.
