Two Monitors - 2 Video Cards - 1 Linux

I have an intel 82845 graphics controller, which is, simplistically, an on-board video card. I have room to install another video card. What I want to do, is to have BOTH my intel graphics controller AND the new video card each displaying on different monitors, at the same time. In essence, I want 2 instances of the same monitor running simultaneously (referred to by some as cloneview). Is this even possible? Am I insane? The reason I want to do this is because I want to watch a bunch of DVDs with my brothers and we don't have a DVD player. I figure it would benefit us to have 2 monitors because we have really bad B.O. {:^)>

Thanks

(PS - running Mandrake 9.1, Red Hat 9.0. Yeah.)

Yes, sorta, kinda, maybe, your mileage may vary.

for info.
Using Xinerama seems to be the answer, do we have anybody with live experience using average video cards and not the Matrox's?

You may try dual head nvidia workstation cards, mine works with redhat 8.0 quite well!
