doesn't really make much sense as a question, fc3 will run exactly the same hardware as suse 9.2, mandrake 10.1, unbuntu 5.04 etc... it's all down to the kernel, not the distro.

BUT ... anything based on a bt878, cx88 or saa7124 chipset will be fine, and you'll be hard pushed to find something that isn't based on one. if you really just want a model number, i have a WinTV GO! and it works fine

A video capture card based on Philips SAA7130 to SAA7134 gives out the best video capture quality. I have a Lifeview Flyvideo 3000FM and it captures video as good as ATI's Rage Theater chips. Conexant chips (bt878, cx88, and a few others) has grainy video. If you are doing any VHS to DVD conversion, the Conexant chips are not going to give your tapes the quality that they deserve. Also the grainy video will increase the size of the MPEG-2 file.

The next best video capture that uses Philips SAA7133 is the Compro VideoMate TV Gold.
