Trying to install my printer Canon Pixma iP1600 (USB) on my Slackware machine. Any help out there would be great.

Turboprint added IP1600 linux support in version 1.94-2 and is the only available linux print driver at the time.

According to the Gentoo-Wiki website at:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/index.php?tit...&printable=yes

the IP1600 can use IP2200 driver. canon-list@linuxprinting.org states the IP1600 only works at 600 dpi with the IP2200 driver, but it works. The IP2200 linux driver can be found at:
