Question Troubles with Promise SATA 300 TX4

I bought one of these cards to expand an old file server I've got running. I recompiled a 2.6.21.5 kernel to include support for it (built-in, not a module) but I'm not getting any new drives showing up in /dev. Any one had any experience with this card? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! (BTW, its a Slackware 10.2 box)

UPDATE:

I noticed the shared IRQ when I posted last, so I swapped the card into a different slot and tried again, still nothing in /dev.

I'm wondering if I might be running out of power. This will be the fourth HD in this server on a 400W PSU.

So for those still following this saga, I forgot to add SCSI hard drive support to the kernel, and Low-and-Behold SATA drives are recognized as SCSI drives. Oops.
