Good one on the Winmodem HOWTO...after several installs/formats of Slackware 9.1 (previously perfectly working 9.0) and Windows XP due to me totally forgetting how to get my modem to work and being unable to find a solution to my problem in the piles of modem problem threads I finally found the missing step (insmod lt_XXXX & insmod lt_serial)in you simple yet wondorous HOWTO. Now to recompile my kernel and get MySQL sorted. You are a legend.
