System Lockups

So I am running Debian on my new PC and noticed now evertime with in 10-15 minutes of average usage - the system completely locks up solid. I am guessing we have some kind of hardware issues here and I was wondering where should I start to look? Test RAM?

The system is a Dell that came with an Intel E6300 however I swapped in a E6600 which appear to be identical in every kind of way. I don't think its over heating.

Any suggestions?

If it happened only after you swapped the CPU I'd try to take the cooler off,clean the cooler and CPU surfaces and apply some thermal paste.

I tested the RAM with Memtest86 & received no errors so at this point it has to be the CPU. I will swap the E6600 back for the lesser E6300 & see what happens.
