I am having a problem getting my system to run live linux or and linux for that matter.... i have tried many different version distros and i still get the same problem... the zip drive locks up on boot of linux.... and says error... and keeps scan for a disk that is not there.... i would like to use debian on my system with this setup.. i have a pentuim 3 800mhz 256+more ram.. 20 gig hard drive with windows xp home. a cd-rom drive and cd-rw drive and a zip drive.. does the zip drive have anything to do with it being a primary slave with the 20 gig hard drve... or does linux not like zip drives..... the zipdrive is 100mb.. if all else is the problem then I will crack the case and unplug the zip drive.... is there any sercet boot code or command....

Since you have it set up as primary slave, the system expects to find a disk in the drive. No disk; get errors. Try booting with a disk in the drive to see what happens then.
