Switch to SVIDEO

I am using an HP Pavillion laptop and would like to be able to switch from the LCD to the svideo output. I would like to be able to watch movies on my TV when I am not using the laptop.

What is the best way to do this?

Do you know the video graphics controller that you notebook computer is using. If you do not know, do research on it.

My laptop uses a NVidia graphics set. I would really like to be able to switch between the LCD and the television. I am a windows convert and have been using SuSE for about a year. I have not been able to find the answer. In window(spit) it was nice to just push a button to switch.

Download the nVidia driver. Then configure to use TwinView.
