What is the most Linux friendly, and preferably most powerful wireless card for a laptop available. I am so sick of working with atheros.
It's a pain to set up and even when it works it doesn't work well.
I knew someone that had a 5ghz intel that had really good results but I don't know the model number. Anyone have any recomendations?
If you're on a laptop, it may not be easy to swap around. All these are a pain to set up, but once done it's inclined to stay right. I have a broadcom 4312 and I have the measure of it, but they're not the fastest. Intel & Atheros are pretty good also.
Hmm...I'm using an Intel WiFi AGN 5100 chip right now which does 5.0 Ghz, but what's wrong with Atheros 9XXX chips, or even the Atheros 5XXX chips? I used an Atheros 9XXX chip before this Intel one and it worked fine for me. I also have successfully working Atheros chips on Windows as well.
