Angry Sound//Headphone Config

Hey there,

I recently switched over to Linux from windoze xp.

I've just got 1 problem which I also had in windows.

In windows:
After installing sound drivers, the sound sounds odd... not distored or scratchy or anything, just out of place. I go into sound driver settings (I got a SB Live) and change "Speakers" to "Headphones" and bam, my sound is nice a beautiful again.

Now in linux I have the same problem, but Theres no option that I can find to change the driver from Speakers to Headphones. I am using Mandrake 10.1, can someone please help me out.
