my peice of shit soundcard (NVidia nForce2, came with the computer) doesn't agree with alsa and i'm considering buying a cheap sound card, anybody know of any good cheap sound cards?
or if you have a better alternative (should have posted this up there)
the problem is xmms and totem cannot be open at the same time, plus i originally wanted slack on this computer, but the sound would not work (i didn't try installing it, someone with alot more experience did). so does anyone know how to allow 2 or more programs to access the sound card at the same time?
