Post Some Questions Related To System Compatibility

Well Before I Ask The Questions I Want To Tell What do I Have Connected With My System.

Intel P4 3.0 Ghz HT(Hyper Threading)
Intel D915 PGN Motherboard
512 MB DDR(400)
Intel® 915P Chipset
80 GB Seagate Harddisk
Sony Combo Drive
iLEX PC Camera
Intel® High Definition Audio subsystem using the Realtek ALC860 audio codec
10/100 Mbits/sec Intel Pro LAN Card

Now One More Thing That I Am A Person Shifting From Windows To Linux Such That Both Exists On Harddisk.

Currently I Am Using "Ubuntu 5.04" And It Doesn't Pick My Sound Card.
Want To Shift To SUSE 9.1 Or Higher.

Here These Questions
1) What To Do To Make Ubuntu Detect My Sound Card
2) Any Good Site About Linux Drivers
3) Does Suse Support FAT32 Formatted Partitions To Be Read And Write
4) Will Suse Perform Better Then Ubuntu On My System.
5) Which One Is More User Friendly For A Beginner?
6) Any Good Site To Download Linux Softwares Like Msn Messenger, PDF Reader, Media Player that Can Play mp3,avi,mpeg,mpg,dat etc

I Will Be Waiting For Your Comments.
Thanx
Shoaibi

Per the LQ Rules, please do not bump your own thread until at least 24 hours have elapsed without a reply. Because the LQ membership is global, people in other time zones may not have seen this post yet, and thus it may take some time before a response is received.

shoaibi - please allow the LQ community more than 4 hours to respond. LQ is not a real time chat room, and it may take some time before a reply is posted, given that everyone here is volunteering in their spare time. If you do not receive any replies after 24 hours, it's OK to bump your own thread but not before then. Thanks -- J.W.

I can't help with all of your questions, but:

3. Yes, there's full support for FAT32 in Linux
6. For those specific examples (these are just the ones that I use, there are many others):

MSN Messenger - Kopete
PDF Reader - Adobe Reader
Media Player - MPlayer

In general, Sourceforge is an excellent place to look for software.
