SKYSTAR2 Problem

I just purchased this card from my local store. I put it in and everything seems to go, the computer detects it but for some reason it doesn't create /dev/dvb. I used the script to manually create it but i get errors such as:
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
opening frontend failed: No such device or address

even though when i do
ls -l /dev/dvb/adapter0

i get

total 0
crw-rw---- 1 root video 250, 1 2006-08-21 21:10 audio0
crw-rw---- 1 root video 250, 6 2006-08-21 21:10 ca0
crw-rw---- 1 root video 250, 4 2006-08-21 21:10 demux0
crw-rw---- 1 root video 250, 5 2006-08-21 21:10 dvr0
crw-rw---- 1 root video 250, 3 2006-08-21 21:10 frontend0
crw-rw---- 1 root video 250, 7 2006-08-21 21:10 net0
crw-rw---- 1 root video 250, 8 2006-08-21 21:10 osd0
crw-rw---- 1 root video 250, 0 2006-08-21 21:10 video0

So with that out put they are obvisously there but I do not know what I am doing wrong.

When i do lspci | grep SkyStar, i get:
0000:00:06.0 Network controller: Techsan Electronics Co Ltd B2C2 FlexCopII DVB chip / Technisat SkyStar2 DVB card (rev 02)

So its detecting it but not letting me tune into tv.

If you need additional information don't hesitate to ask.

You probably purchased Rev. 2.7U. This is REALLY bad card, even under Win32 it works with numerous major bugs! Under Linux as far as I know there not yet support for it. That means simply that you can buy Rev. 2.6D or Rev. 2.6C instead, or at least Rev. 2.3, or any other card, but definitely NOT SkyStar 2 Rev. 2.7U - this is really stupid garbage! I heat it! Will go tommorow to exchange it for Rev. 2.6D.
