I would like to know if there exists any way to make SiS Mirage 3 work on a Linux machine. Like properly. 3D effects, pos-2003 games, good resolution, etc.
That page is geared towards using the driver on sidux, though the directions are probably quite similar for any distribution. Having said that, they don't appear to support 3D acceleration.
Your best out for this card is to dump it and get a newer card Could never get it to work in Ubuntu or Mint a lot of time wasted think this is win only hardware-Do a Google and you will find a lots of problems with SIS This card is also Dated
But the problem is that I brought a great bargain laptop really cheap, then it happens to come with SiS. Just thought I could see a way through. I need to work with graphics and 3D rendering, guess I have to buy another laptop.
