Serial to RJ-45, any special commands to mount/umount?

Please forgive my ignorance.

I've got some Cisco equipment (2900 series switches and 2600 routers). I want to use Minicom thats on my Linux distro, along with serial to rj-45 to manage these.

Was wondering, do I have to mount this connection when plugging it in?

Or do I have to do anything special?

thanks

Shouldn't have to. Minicom is basically like Windows Hyperterm, and it's nothing but a serial terminal. As long as you have the baud rate/etc., set correctly, you're all set.
