SCSI Newbie

Hi there,

I'm a real scsi newbie here and something weird has been happening with an external array I have. For fun, I wiped my Linux install off of my IDE drive and then reinstalled without changing anything on the external SCSI array. However, when I tried to access the drives after the reinstall, I couldn't do it.

Does anyone know why this is happening? I rechecked the fstab file after the reinstall and the drives weren't even listed there nor were the mount points in the "Storage Devices" tab in the Control Center.

So, this meant me reinstalling again and using the partitioning utility to repartition the drives. I know that I shouldn't have to do this, and I'm wondering what I could do to not have to reinstall everything in case my IDE drive wipes out on me. Thanks to any that reply.
