Scroll mouse success!

Having found several different questions & answers concerning scroll mice, here is the relevant section from XF86Config-4 which actually works!

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "On"
Option "Emulate3Timeout" "50"
Option "Buttons" "5"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

EndSection

If you have a scroll mouse, why do you need Emulate3Buttons?

Emulate2Buttons is a "yes" or "no" response, "On" should not be valid. I can't find documentation for this - Hmph.

Though Emulate3Buttons isn't here, this is the best place to go for Mouse questions in general.

Good question, it works for me. I think you need to emulate 3 buttons to have click functions, I'm really not sure. Someone else explained in this forum that:

1 = left
2 = right
3 = middle and 4 = scroll up, 5 = scroll down.

does this make sense?
