Screen never found after start.

Hi,
I know that this topic has been discussed several times over and over. I am having nVidia Driver problems since I first installed linux about two weeks ago (SimplyMepis 6.5 currently, PCLinuxOS before). The only drive that does work is the 'nv' driver. I have gone into IRC, searched google, searched these forums and several other ones and cannot get the 9631 drivers to work. The farthest I have gotten is the black screen bugs?, and a yellow screen with lines. Both had audio, but no video, and I could not make X die so I could revert the xorg.conf. Most of the other times I usually get Screen not found 0:0 or something of the such.

This is on a Dell 8200 Inspiron Laptop.
Configuration:
Intel P4 ~ 1.5gHz
768 RAM
GeForce 4 440 Go
(Under lspci)
Code:
0000:01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV17 [GeForce4 440 Go] (rev a3)
Dual booting with Windows XP, though I do not believe that it will matter with that.

This is my Current xorg.conf

Code:
# /etc/X11/xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the /etc/X11/xorg.conf manual page.
# (Type "man /etc/X11/xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following command:
# sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

Hopefully I have pasted enough information. If possible I would like to see beryl running, but mainly, I need to get this running for games and applications. I honestly need help if anyone can lead me into the right way. What I need to do, get, whatever. Even reformatting these partitions and reinstalling Mepis.

Thank you in advance,

Vincent
