Question Scanjet 2300c (genesys backend)

'evening all!

The HP ScanJet 2300c is now supported by SANE, but I can't get it to work - sane-find-scanner detects it, but scanimage -L does not. Scanning works as I also have a Mustek Be@rpaw CU1200+ (gt68xx backend) that works. At first I thought that I might need a firmware file for the genesys backend, as I did with the gt68xx, but I can't find anything on the net about this.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I'm using Mandriva LE2005 with kernel 2.6.13, sane backends 1.0.16 installed from source and the rest of sane from the Mandriva RPMs.

Cheers!
-Taiyo
