SB Audigy LS with ca0106 drivers gives no sound

I have some problems getting my Creative Audigy LS soundcard working on my fedora core 6 box.

I've tested it on a windows 2000 machine, on which it works fine, I've also tested the speakers, with same result.

The fedora soundcard dialog detects the card and the PCM's, but when I click the play button, it gives no sound.
The dialog tells me to report the error with the attached files. I'm wondering if any of you can read a problem out of one of them? Or perhaps you've had the same problem and solved it.

ive got the same card. start playing an mp3 in your player, then try going into a terminal and type 'alsamixer', then bring up the volume of all the channels and importantly try toggling the 'M' key on your keyboard (to toggle mute on/off), it may be that '00' actually mutes the card, and 'MM' unmutes the card.
