Smile Saving Energy With PSU Replacement And Linux Diskless

My friend had an internet caffee with MS Windows PCs.

He want to reduce power requirement by:
1. Replacing Power Supply unit with smaller capacity (watts).
2. Removing hard disk, graphics cards (use onboard), CD/DVD drive.
3. Use Linux instead of MS Windows on the diskless network node.

Is the above idea possible?
Is there any guide for using diskless Linux for Internet caffe?
The main applications is for browsing, playing streaming movie/animation.

Thank you.

Removing the drives will help, but not the power supplies. The PSU only draws as much energy as is required, so if your computer needs 50 watts, that is all it is going to draw regardless of what the PSU's capacity is.
