Symptom:
Installation on system using ICH8 SATA controller with the BIOS set to IDE mode for the controller does not recognize the attached devices.
Solution:
To work around this issue, enable the ICH8 controller in AHCI mode from within the BIOS. Depending on the platforms, there are various ways to enter into the BIOs mode during boot up. Press "F2" or "ESC" keys during bootup is a typical way of getting into the BIOs mode.
