Sata controller seen as hda and not sda

Hi

I have a Dell optiplex GX760 with an intel sata controller the problem is I cannot load my NLPOS PXE image on this PC because the driver ata_piix is old (i think) So what I would like is the source for ata_piix 2.12 so that I can build it with my kernel. Does anyone know where I can find it ?????
or a work around?

The images does load if I set the SATA Operation in the BIOS to legacy but it sees the sata drive as an IDE drive in need to set it on ATA any help will be appreciated

Hi, what other options do you have in bios?

Can you select ahci for the hd's?

Then you'll probably use the sata(lib) module after that.

If your kernel is not too customised, it should "just work"

Cheers, Glenn
