I had a problem getting this to work at least for me, using fedora core 2, gphoto2 drivers don't see it however it is is accesible for image retrival, so anyone who couldnt get it working at all, all you have to do is type this is terminal.
mount /dev/sda /mnt/usbfd
and just browse to /mnt/usbfd to download your photos.
